The Nikon Z 28mm f/2.8 Lens is an outstanding option for video applications as well as it greatly suppresses focus breathing preventing the angle of view shifts during recording. A natural shift in brightness can be achieved by making smooth adjustments to the iris ring. Furthermore, the dual stepping motors work in near silence to preserve audio integrity.
Stepping Motor
The Nikon Z 28mm f/2.8 Lens use a stepping motor for fast, accurate, smooth, and quiet autofocus with reduced wobbling. This quiet stepping motor drive system makes the lenses ideal for use when shooting video.
IF Lens
When focusing with the Nikon Z 28mm f/2.8 Lens only the internal lens groups shift, therefore the lens size does not change during autofocusing. This allows for a lightweight and small form factor allowing you closer to your subject.
Aspherical Lens
Featuring a curved, non-sperical surface. This is used to provide a smaller sized lens and reduce aberrations such as coma and other types of lens aberrations throughout the aperture range.
The curved, non-spherical surface enables the Nikon Z 28mm f/2.8 Lens to reduce the number of standard (spherical) elements needed.
Electromagnetic Diaphragm Mechanism
The electromagnetic diaphragm mechanism in the barrel enables for highly accurate aperture blade control for when auto exposure is used during continued shooting.
Super Integrated Coating
Super Integrated Coating suppresses flare and ghosting for improved contrast and colour fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions.
