High-Quality throughout the Zoom Range
The Sony FE 200-600mm F/5.6-6.3 G OSS Lens is carefully designed to deliver high-quality image resolution throughout the zoom range, as it consists of five (extra-low Dispersion) glass elements and one aspherical element in a new optical design to produce impressive image quality. The Aspherical element is utilised to suppress spherical aberration and distortion; while the ED glass elements is used to effectively reduce chromatic aberration, which usually occurs in super-telephoto lenses.
11-Blade Diaphragm
Create beautiful photos with creamy G lens bokeh, all thanks to its 11-blade circular aperture mechanism. The 11-blade diaphragm makes it possible to use the narrow depth of field at super-telephoto focal lengths and still achieve striking images.
Nano AR Coating
With Nano AR Coating implied on the Sony FE 200-600mm F/5.6-6.3 G OSS Lens, this will significantly reduce reflections that can cause image-degrading flare and ghosting from taking place. Additionally, the coating has a uniform nanometre-level structure that breaks up the lens boundary surface. Having flare and ghosting reduced will result in superior image clarity and contrast.
3-Mode Optical SteadyShot
Holding a large lens like this could lead even to shots being out of focus, and therefore its important that the lens features image stabilisation. Therefore, Sony has merged Optical Image Stabilisation into the lens to create sharper images when shooting handheld at super-telephoto focal lengths. Additionally, Mode 2 delivers ideal Stabilisation for panned shots, while Mode 3 offers enhanced viewfinder stabilisation that enables easier framing of erratic sports or wildlife movements.
Fast, and Accurate Autofocus
The Sony FE 200-600mm F/5.6-6.3 G OSS Lens sports a DDSSM (Direct Drive Super Sonicwave Motor) system, a system that’s powerful enough to move the lens mechanism for impressively fast, accurate focusing.
Dust and Moisture-Resistant Construction
The Sony FE 200-600mm F/5.6-6.3 G OSS Lens sports a dust and moisture-resistant construction which is ideal for photographers to operate outdoor when the weather is challenging.
Internal Zoom
The Internal Zoom mechanism built-in simply means that the length of the lens will not change when zooming; and the distance between the front element and the subject will not change in anyway.
